WatMed educational is a provider high quality, CPD accredited, medical training and resources. Established in 2013, we run courses for a range of healthcare professionals. Teaching techniques on our courses are borne from time Dr Kishan Rees spent reading for a Masters in Medical Education at the University of Nottingham Medical School, from which he is due to matriculate with honours in the December 2015 graduation ceremony. WatMed educational is well placed to deliver essential core clinical teaching and generic skills required by the coming generations of healthcare professionals.
This ethos was recognised with Dr Kishan Rees, Director of WatMed educational, being invited to sit on a judging panel at the Nursing Times Awards 2015. WatMed educational is firmly committed to providing multidisciplinary learning environments, where active learning leaning on constructivist educational methodology is utilized. This makes it much easier for lessons in the classroom to be applied in future clinical environments.
A strong founding principle of WatMed educational involves ‘Widening Access to Medicine‘. As such a significant amount of time and resource has been invested into the WatMed educational YouTube channel where a series of interviews those thinking of applying to medical school may find useful. We firmly believe students wanting to enter the medical profession should not be charged an admission fee.
A very good course. It made me realise that many problems are common to most people. It tackles these common problems and tries to resolve them.
A fresh form of teaching key skills. The knowledge base of the host is great.
